pimple care treatment

A young adult has survived his or her teenage years relatively unscathed by the dreaded Pimple and then all of a sudden when they are in their twenties, Pimple develops. They are usually very embarrassed and most anxious to get the problem cleared up…literally.

Actually, it really isn’t all that uncommon for people in their twenties to suddenly be plagued by Pimple. About 95% of all Americans between the ages of 12 and 25 will, at some point develop at least a mild case of Pimple. The thing about treating adult Pimple is that products designed for treating adolescent Pimple should not be used. Usually the products that have been designed for treating Pimple in teenagers have very drying properties and those are not recommended for adults.

Adults skin has already begun to lose elasticity and collagen and premature wrinkling has become a concern even in adults who are only in their twenties. When Pimple occurs in people over twenty, they really should see a dermatologist as soon as possible. There are medications, both oral and topical, that can clear the Pimple up and help to prevent the scarring that untreated Pimple can cause.

Adult Pimple usually requires medications that are stronger than those which are used to treat teen Pimple. Many times adult Pimple is caused by hormonal changes that need to be treated by a physician. Beginning or stopping birth control pills can cause Pimple in adult women as can problematic menstrual cycles.

If either of these circumstances are present, a woman should consult her physician. As with teen Pimple; keeping the face clean by washing with a mild soap or a facial cleansing product using only the fingertips and not a wash cloth twice a day, keeping hair away from the face when sleeping and frequently changing pillowcases can help.
