A lot of things have changed over the last three decades. Just look at your old photos from the 1980′s. It may be amusing to see how people used to dress back then but it’s less amusing to see how slim everyone were in those days. Obesity was very rare three decades ago but today every 1 in 3 Americans are considered obese.

For a long time I focused on losing weight, when I really should have been focused on building muscles. Muscle tissue helps burn fat. The more muscle you have, the faster and hotter your metabolism is, and the easier it is to keep fit. So focusing on building muscle is more important than trying to lose weight. While it may be true that muscles weigh more than fat, having strong muscles is always better for your overall health. (more…)

Ever notice how commercial models or product endorsers always seem to be these gorgeous, skinny girls or handsome and muscular guys? They are supposed to be representations of what beautiful and handsome should look like.
